| Spot Trip (Horseback Riders) Round trip using horses and mules. - You ride along on horseback, as your gear is carried by a pack animal to a desirable campsite on a lake or stream. The stock and packer returns for you on a pre-determined day. The length of stay does not affect the cost. One day spot trips permit packer to return to the pack station the same day. Longer trips place you in more remote areas requiring the packer to stay overnight. Trip rates are based on one horse and one pack animal per-person. | ||||

| Dunnage Trip (Hikers or Ride & Hike Parties, One way Minimum $550, 2 animals and 1 packer) For your round-trip or one-way trips, food and gear can be packed in to either a single pre-determined destination for a group of hikers or riders, or to multiple locations for a traveling trip. You can hike or ride and leave from the pack station along with your packer, or meet the stock at your pre-determined destination along your hike route. Additionally, you may have a split group where some of your party are riders and some of your party are hikers. |
| Rates of gear packed for riders or hikers are as follows: Pack or saddle stock $150 per head of stock per day. Packer $250 per day including horse. |
| Each pack animal can carry a maximum of 150 lbs. Each packer can lead a maximum of 6 animals. |
| Pack or saddle stock cannot go without a packer. Dunnage Trips require a minimum charge of $550 (2 animals and 1 packer). |

Inclusive Trip -
We provide the stock, packer, cook, food, camping equipment for
your party for the duration of the trip. All the planning and preparation
for the trip and cooking are done by our competent staff. Your party
provides all personal gear, tents and sleeping bags. These trips require a 3 person minimum. |

| Day Rides - Many visitors to Red's Meadow may want the experience of riding through the forest and seeing some scenic country, but only have limited time. So, for your convenience, you may take a ride along with one of our guides, for the day (bring a picnic lunch), a half day or for a two hour ride. Meadows to Tuolumne Meadows

- This trip passes through some of the finest wilderness in Yosemite National
Park and the most scenic portion of the Ansel Adams Minaret Wilderness.
Trips start at Agnew Meadows and end at Tuolumne Meadows. This
leisurely trip has very modest moves between camps with plenty of time for side
trips at each camp site. Fish, hike, ride and relax. Riders:

| Ansel Adams - Thousand Island Lake - Shadow Creek (5 Days) Aug. 6-10 Depart from Agnew Meadows Pack Station via High Trail to Thousand Island Lake. Travel the John Muir Trail past Garnet Lake to Shadow Creek below Lake Ediza. Return to Red's Meadow by the John Muir Trail and Devil's Postpile with an option of returning to Agnew Meadows if desired. Outstanding scenery, excellent introduction to the High Sierra, moderate moves between camps. This leisurely trip includes 2 full days without moving camp and layover days at Thousand Island and Rosalie lakes. This is an excellent trip for Hikers. Climbers are welcome too! | Fish Creek – John Muir Wilderness (5 Days) July 22 - 26. Riders: $950 Hikers: $750. The group leaves Red's Meadow Pack Station along the Fish Creek Trail. They then head to Island Crossing, via Belle Hot Springs and Cascade Valley. We will treat our guests to excursions to Beetle bug, Minnow Creek, the Lakes of the Lone Indian and to Upper Fish Creek. On the return trip to Red's Meadow we will take the John Muir Trail. This is a leisurely trip through the finest camping areas in the High Sierra. | |
| Fourth of July Special (4 Days) July 1-4 - Our Fourth of July trip will visit the headwaters of the Middle Fork of the San Joaquin River. We will camp in the vicinity of Thousand Island Lake. | Yosemite - (Old Time Trip) Aug. 26 - Sept.1. (7 days) This is a very special and seldom seen area of Yosemite and the Minaret Wilderness. This trip departs Red's Meadow and travels west behind Iron Mountain to the North Fork of the San Joaquin River. From Hemlock Crossing, we travel over Isberg Pass to the Merced Lake area, camping at Babcock Lake. Then we travel to the Lyell Fork of the Tuolumne River in view of the McClure Glacier. Next, we cross Donahue Pass to upper Rush Creek and Thousand Island Lake via the Pacific Crest Trail. We end the trip at Agnew Meadows. Bring your camera to capture the breathtaking scenery. | Open Group Riding or Hiking Trips - Trips through the heart of Scenic High Sierra are scheduled for your pleasure. Our friendly, experienced staff will provide the packing services and hearty ranch-style meals. A person may ride or hike during the trip. Moves are of a reasonable hiking and riding distance and set at a moderate pace. Members provide their own personal gear. Dates, rates and itineraries are listed above. Please note:You may arrange any of the trips on this page for your own group with your own desired dates.
